Game Description

A Desolate Ice World…

…or so it seemed, when the devastated colony ships first rained from the sky in brilliant fireballs. A mission failed, a people doomed to die silently, stranded and alone in places men had never been. But when a fortunate discovery, a crack within the frozen surface, revealed the vast oceans which filled the trenches beneath the glaciers, teeming with alien life and precious resources, a whole new civilization began… one of deep sea cities, advanced submersible vessels, and a people who live their lives without the sight of sunlight.

An Adventure Like No Other…

…as you and your friends design and pilot your own unique, futuristic underwater vessel and set out as a team to explore the vast trench-world of Kalimundar. Together you will brave vicious pirate attacks, cruise the shipping lanes between outposts and make your mark on the rugged cusp of a fledgling civilization unlike any man has created before.

This Story Is About You…

…and without a Game Master or any other player ‘running’ the game. This is a truly co-op adventure board game where each player controls their team, works together as a crew to optimize the course of the ship and keep it running, and struggles against the hostile forces of the trench-world to survive. Design your vessel, customize it with unique weapons and systems, manage your resources, repair damage and constantly assess the risk of each mission presented to you. You have the Helm. What are your orders?

KALIMUNDAR

May 28, 2009

“Kalimundar” is the working title for my newest game, a game I’ve been very excited about for roughly 6 years now – with no idea how to actually make it.

Well, that has changed.

Production of the prototype is in full swing here, and seeing as I don’t use this blog every much these days as a place to post and discuss my general work, I think I will from now on devote it to the development of Kalimundar for those who are interested. This game is a vast under taking, akin to the greatest games I have ever played. It promises to be packed full of content, excitement, elegant systems and nearly limitless expansion.

More to come, including images.
